Personalized Cybersecurity Mentorship That Actually Works
Breaking into cybersecurity is confusing. Should you get certified? Learn penetration testing? Start with networking fundamentals?
Most beginners waste months jumping between courses, CTF challenges, and YouTube tutorials without a clear direction.
You don't need more resources, you need someone who can assess where you are now, identify what's missing, and build a personalized roadmap to your specific goals in cybersecurity.
The Problem With Certifications
Certifications are not useless — but they are often misunderstood.
There is no one-size-fits-all path in cybersecurity. The right next step depends entirely on what you already understand, how you think, how much time you can commit, and what you're ultimately trying to achieve.
Most beginners don't actually know what they want yet. They know they want to "get into cybersecurity," but not whether that means vulnerability research, penetration testing, exploit development, blue team, or something else entirely.
Without clarity, certifications and CTFs become a treadmill. You move from one cert to another, one lab to another, one guide to another — staying busy but not necessarily progressing toward a clear goal.
Certifications make sense when you already know your direction. Mentorship makes sense when you don’t.
Before investing months into a certificate, you need someone to assess where you are, identify your gaps, and determine what path actually aligns with your strengths and long-term goals.
This is where our mentorship comes in.
How It Works
Your first session is an assessment of your current skills. We evaluate your current knowledge, identify gaps, and discuss your goals.
Cybersecurity is vast, and we specialize in specific areas, primarily vulnerability research, penetration testing, and exploit development.
If you're looking to learn SCADA hacking, for example, we may not be the right fit.
First Session (Assessment)
This 90-minute session determines fit on both sides. We evaluate your current skills, discuss your goals, and assess whether our expertise aligns with what you're trying to learn.
You'll get honest feedback about your aptitude and what it would realistically take to reach your goals — valuable insight even if we don't move forward together.
- 1. Instructor Introduction — We share our background, mentoring philosophy, expectations, and how the program works so you understand exactly what you're stepping into.
- 2. Student Assessment (90-minute session) — We discuss your current skills, time commitment, learning style, and short- and long-term goals to understand where you are and where you want to go.
- 3. Personalized Action Plan & Decision — Within a few days, we meet again (20–60 minutes) to present a tailored roadmap based on your assessment. You can accept it, request adjustments, or decide it’s not the right fit.
The first session helps us understand what you want to learn and whether our expertise aligns with your goals. You might already know exactly what you want to focus on, or you might want a general introduction to help you decide, either approach works.
This conversation determines whether we can genuinely help you succeed.
This is about understanding your aptitude, learning style, time commitment, and fit with our teaching approach.
